I am planning to create a series of dried arrangements using both bulrushes and *****willows, and would like to be able to gather them myself rather than purchasing them. Does any one have an idea where I can go to get these items where I wouldnt be trespassing on someone elses property and stealing their plants?

I am located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

The Glaucous Willow is usually planted as an ornamental. Conservationists sometimes use them to stabilize stream banks. The pretty catkins are produced in the spring. Bulrush is a wetland plant. Perhaps some hiking along streams and wetlands would provide you with a source for plant material. But, if expecting to collect the willow with catkins, it will have to be done in spring.
