When the dryer first goes on it fires up and appears to be fine. The gas shuts off at the appropriate time but will not come back on again throughout the cycle. The igniter comes on but no gas. I checked the vent and there is no blockage. If you shut it off and let it sit for a few minutes then restart it , it fires up again.
thanks for your help. GG

Sounds like you need the gas coils. One of the coils is heating up and opening. I would replace both of them.
