We finished decorating my daughter's bedroom over the summer. She picked the colors and we both worked on the design. I'm really happy with how it turned out but my daughter thinks that maybe we should do something with the nightstand, dresser and maybe even headboard. She suggested painting them with the same colors we used on the wall but I'm worried it will end up being 'too much'. I know it's her room, but I want it too look nice and I'm worried that as she gets older, she may find she wants a more sophisticated look and it will be hard going back. Any thoughts? Anyone else had a difference of opinion with their kids over the design of their room? I need some help!:wall:
Here are some pictures I've posted already of the room http://www.micasastyle.com/go/view/space/221939

I don't choose sides, but trying to blend the furniture (movable fixture) with the wall (permanent fixture) will be a boo boo. Once painted the walls can be repainted, wallpapered, etc. Once painted, the furniture will have to be stripped and either stained or repainted, a real PITA. Leave the furniture a wood tone, it softens the room from the stark contrasts in the wall colors.

Firstly, fun design!
I do think it would be too much to paint the furniture, but you could compromise by maybe changing the handles on the drawers. You could buy some funky coloured handles to coordinate with the wall colour,and/or get some bright coloured tassels to hang from the handles.
