First time writing a message (yah!), but many times reading great messages and responses! I just got a decent townhouse with some remodeling to do, so I will post a lot of questions. He he.

Unless I see other nice color schemes at the paint store, online, or other homes, I kinda like the chocolate/beige styles on my living room and dining room walls. However, the exterior colors are like dark brown/ dark beige type too! Unfortunately I can't change the exterior because of the HOA rules. Will it be too tacky, bland, weird or something along those lines? Or, will it be acceptable?

Thanks!

Hi miloo

In decoration, I try to avoid to ponder in terms of "acceptable", because I can't imagine the color and design combination as strict rules. :)
I would prefer the terms pleasant and harmonious, and in these terms, I think that you can use different shades of the same colors (tans and eacth colors)and you will love it
Perhaps you should contrast with some accessories (carpets, uphostery, etc)
Check the Sherwin Williams website,
http://www.sherwin-williams.com/
you will find several design tools and you will get the shades for exterior and interior colors

Thanks for the tips and advice. I am actually thinking for Time to figure out the color schemes and how it will match with the wood, carpet, furniture and accessories. This will be a long process (as well as being overwhelmed)!
