I have one of these and although it is over 3 yrs old it has low hours.
I was mowing and as I sit on the seat fluid started coming out on the left hand side above a filter. It was pinkish and not real hot. I took off the cover and above that filter is a hose that has metal webbing over it. It looked like maybe it was blown as the webbing was messed up.
Question is.. does anyone have any diagrams? :-)
I need to know if it is hydro, power steering, or engine oil. I dont think it is engine oil cause it is not dark at all. I could lift the mower deck but it was slow so I think maybe it could be that. The steering seemed fine.
It does not come out unless the tractor is turned on.

Your help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a hydraulic fluid hose. If the hose is leaking fluid, replace the hose.

I agree with Ken, the braid on the outside helps keep down outside abrasion, but with constant lifting and dropping hoses just die. Either measure your total size hose including the fitting, or remove it, allow it to drain into a container and take it to the store or to an auto parts store and have them make you one.
