I have heard there is a serial connector and software to connect a PC1555 board to a computer.

Where can I get the parts and software?

What can I do with a computer link?

Can I set the system to run executable files in response to system events?

You will get lots of hits.

That said; the hardware and software is intended for downloading software configurations to the alarm panel. It was designed for installers who set up multiple, similar systems.

In my opinion, it offers no real advantage to a DIY installer.

If you are looking for a full-time computer connection to a DSC panel for integration purposes, what you want is an IT-100 module.
