Hi, I moved into a new house that had not been stuccod yet. The paper and wire were on.

I planned on putting up a ledger board for my deck, (actually I had ordered it done with my house but it wasn't...long story) but I came home one day and found they had put on the scratch coat.

The stuccoer said I could just put the ledger board over the scratch coat. I checked on net and I dont' think thats correct.

They are coming in the next day or two to finish coat. If I buy some flashing and a ledger board, should I cut through the paper to put the flashing on? I think I should be doing that and sliding the flashing up behind the paper.

Is there an advantage to doing it now or should I just wait until the stucco is done and then do it?
