Can anyone tell me who (what profession) I would get to draw me up some plans to level my backyard into two terraced levels? The upper level would be about 100 sq.ft and the second level about 200 sq ft. The yard is real slanty now. I feel like I could do the work, but I am clueless about the procedures to level the terraces, how to secure any timbers to each other and the ground, drainage provisions, etc.

I would like to pay someone to make me a couple of drawings showing construction details and give me a material list. Any ideas or help is appreciated.

That's what architects do for $150 per hour or so.

Do you mean a normal building architect? They do landscape layout work also?

Thanks.
