I have a bathroom/laundry room that are tiled but seem to be missing about 5 tiles. I don't particularly like the tiles that are there, but I don't dislike them much either.

I've tried to 'match' the tiles I have at the Home Depot/Lowes but I can't find the same tiles. I don't want to mismatch them.

The hallway outside the bathroom/laundry room is tiled but I will be removing the tiles and putting down carpet. Is there any chance of me being able to remove those without breaking them - and using them to fill in my missing tiles?

If so - what is the best way to go about doing it? I have maybe 40 tiles to rip up and I need 4-6 unbroken ones to finish the job.

Depending on how the original tile was installed, you may be able to remove them with relative ease, or end up destroying them. Dig out the grout around the tiles you want to save, then take a chisel and start tapping along the edges to see if it will come off.

If the tiles are years old, it will probably be very dificult to find a match. You could try this place (http://www.thisoldtile.com), and see.....
