hey all,
whenever i open my window it looks as though a piece that suppose to be sliding as it opens is not sliding. not sure how to describe it or fix it.

It's a side load window and the block & tackle balance is broken. You can get instructions here: http://www.jeld-wen.com/_pdf/resources/howto/SWD009.pdf

Shut the window, and look to see if there is a clip on the left side that needs to be locked back into place. The purpose of the clip is to stop the block and tackle balance and hold it in place while you raise the sash even higher, so that you can push the sash to the side to remove it.
Maybe someone forgot to snap that clip back into place.
Of course, as Johnam mentioned, it could also be broken. :eek:
