Just had the thermostat "professionally" repaired. After his 2 return visits it still heats 75 degrees cool at 350 and 100 degrees hot at 400 degree settings. Have adjusted set screw 1/8 turn at a time which only heats it either to 500 or barely 100. All settings tested at 350 (except for the 400 mentioned above.) I'm in oven hell. Any assistance would help greatly. This is an older model Caloric with only basic oven and stove knobs and no clock or electronic controls. And runs on propane.

I would have the repair company back and ask for another tech to come back out. Also tell the service rep about your displeasure in this ongoing experience.

Thank you sir. Unfortunately, it's a one-man company and there's no recourse. I take it from your answer that there is still a technical problem involved with the thermostat itself. He says the new one can't also be bad. I'm afraid he's gonna find something else supposedly wrong with the oven and charge me yet again. By this time I could have just purchased a new one! I want to just forget it but it's yet to be repaired since he set foot in my house. And I've paid him over $200. Thank you so much for your help.

I know the repair guy mentioned he was installing a Maytag thermostat into my Caloric oven. Is Caloric made by Maytag? Is it possible the problem stems from NOT using a Caloric OEM? I see inside that it says Amana. The range is model #RLN345UW. Thanks again for any assistance.
