Getting ready to start a remodel in LA area and need some vinyl sliding glass and swinging doors. What is a good "bang for the buck" choice? which is sturdy , energy efficient and well priced? Thanks!

Andersens Frenchwood series is very nice door and is available in outswing or inswing. Wood interior and maintenance free exterior. Probably the most pricey in their line, but a door that has excellent security features and rugged hardware. Next step down is their Narroline and Permashield gliding doors, not available as a hinged door. At the bottom is the Hinged Patio door, inswing only. Home Depot carries Andersen, but I recommend looking at a local lumberyard where people better know the products and options.
