I was wondering if I post dimensions of my second floor addition someone could help with laying out floor plans? The second floor is 20 feet wide by 52 feet long. I am trying to put in a master bedroom a master bath and 3 other bedrooms and another full bath. Total of 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Can someone let me know if you think this is doable with this amount of space and if you could help with a floor plan?

Wouldn't it also help to see the layout for the first floor so that wall locations, plumbing, vents, chimneys, window and door locations etc., might be aligned? Also, any considerations of orientation for certain rooms to be in certain locations for view or sun/weather patterns? Any second floor balconies or decks with sliding or French doors in the plans like off a master bedroom upstairs to also serve as a secondary egress jump platform? Any ideas for 2nd floor small room apt. with kitchenette?
I'm not a licensed architect, but have dabbled in line drawings for additions or remodel jobs or house modifications over the years in the past. I really enjoyed that at one time.

also the location of the stair coming to the second floor is probably one of the biggest factors about how the rooms will be layed out in a long, skinny space like you described.

Here are the floor plans I have come up with. Any suggestions would be great!

The second floor is going to cantilever out 10 feet off the back. Also the walls for the second floor have to come in 2 feet on each side because the house now has to be 5 feet from our property line.

Hi there,
First of all, a simple / drawing question--> I see that you developed the plan with the BHG software--> right click on the doors and stairs and open these elements---> verify the dims, some of them seem odd. If you experience problems with this, just let me know.
There are a couple of things that (perhaps) will change several things--> staircase--> If I see correctly, there is a bathroom over the first part of the staircase--> there is not enough clearance (height) to do this unless you've very high ceilings
Looks like the toilet stalls are too narrow, can you tell me the dims of the stalls? (wall to wall)
Check the dims of the entrance of the bottom left bedroom
I'd suggest that you preform a cross section and publish it here

looks good, just a couple things...
1. the master shower looks very small, and since it will get the most everyday use I wouldn't go any smaller than 3'6x4'0 or so. to achieve this you may want to get online and check out some tub manufacturers and see just how small you can go with the the jacuzzi tub to make room for the shower
2. 5'7 is quite a large hallway for a 20' wide house. i see a few ways you could bring that in a foot or so, add that space to those bathrooms.
