Yup, my cable/phone provider (Cox) must have upgraded their system because caller ID information pops up on my TV anytime someones calls now..... :D Don't even gotta get off the couch to see who's calling anymore.....

I think my Dish will do that too; just don't need it because we ditched the landline for cells that we were already using anyway. Got tired of paying for a phone for no reason.

Dish has had it a couple years.
I can even go into 'history' and view all past calls and time of call.

land lines still are there during storms and emergencys, lots of times cells will not work during those. I will always have a land line.

life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies.

Agreed. Also best for 911 calls. I still have the business landline here at the house, but it was silly to also have cell phones AND a personal landline at the house.

When Charley blew through here in '04 the cell service was restored faster than the landlines; the cell providers brought in temporary mobile towers to cover for the ones that were down.

DIRECTV has had the caller ID on the TV for several years - but sometimes the phone rings and it doesn't show up on the TV :wall:
Never knew we could get so spoiled :D

Yes, spoiled we are! I can even listen to my home voicemail over the internet........now, only if they could have a robot to cook and clean my house!
