Hello.
I spilled some paint on a car seat - it leaked from an old tin in a rubbish bag. I mopped it up and left it to deal with the next day. Tried scrubbing for a really long time the following day with everything I had - turpentine, white spirit, water-based paint solvent - NOTHING worked AT ALL. I can't get even a little bit to budge.
It's like it's been seared in; it is very hot here, so maybe that's a factor, or maybe the car seats are strangely absorbent. And I don't know if it's oil or water based paint, though it wasn't at all sticky or cloggy when I wiped it dry so I'm guessing water-based.
Any suggestions at all I'd be really grateful for.
Thanks

Have you tried a product called "Goof -Off"? It works great on latex paint, but it could damage/discolor the material of the seat. It may also spread the stain as it dissolves it. Thats a problem I've seen on fabric and carpet, not on hard surfaces. You might want to try a hidden area first.

Ever heard of Krud Kutter? It takes latex paint of of carpet, though you have to use a stiff brush for it. It shouldn't color carpet, because I used it to get used motor oil off of my passenger seat floor, wiped with a clean rag, and it came up without discoloration of the carpet. I did see it at Lowe's, not sure if anyone else sells it. Good luck!!

Krud Kutter is good stuff...and no solvents. Depends on the type of paint and interior.

If in doubt, take auto to car detailer. Sometimes they can work miracles. Note: Once paint has dried it tends to be almost impossible to remove. Waiting to next day added to your challenge.
