Due to underground plumbing leaks I had to cut a 16"x16"x10feet trench in the pool concrete deck. When filling the trench with new concrete after replacing the pipes do I need to tie the surrounding existing concrete into the new concrete? Thanks.

yes you should if the ground settles under the new concrete the old will hold it in place.use 1/2 or 3/8 rerod
