Entertainment Center: TVs, Stereos, VCRs and DVDs - Black Box On TV Screen

The other day my TV screen started displaying a black box on the picture tube while I was watching. The box covers the TV shows to a point where you cannot tell what is being broadcasted. I think the TV is shot and needs to be replaced. I cannot seem to get the black box off the screen. When I change channels or raise or lower the volume the box disappears but then it returns again. Their is nothing I can do to get it to stay away completely. Should I buy a new set or is their something I can do to remove it forever.

Go into the menu and turn the closed caption off.It's a common problem when the cc goes bad,but turning it off will stop the black box from coming on the scrteen.:thumbup:
