I have a Whirlpool Dryer model # GGW9200LW1 that is giving me an error code of E2 about 2 minutes after I start it. It happens everytime I try it. It is about 3-4 years old. Any ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

E2 code is a bad thermistor, here is a link to your machine

look under bulkhead and part # 42 is hat you need. let us know how repair is going or if you need any more help.

Can you tell me approximately where I will find the thermistor in the dryer? Is there a certain panel I should access? This is my first time working on a dryer. Thanks. And thank you for the link for the part with the diagram. That was extremely helpful.

UNPLUG DRYER FIRST
Remove 3 screws holding lower front panel on. Take lint screen out take 3 screws out of lint chute 2 on sides and 1 on clip on bottom. Thermistor is 1 of the 2 2 wire units on top of vent tube. If I remember right it is the one on the right as you look in to machine.
