I have several large windows with 2 1/4 wood blinds. They are nearly impossible to open and close with the wand. We have taken them down and cannot see anything obviously wrong with the "innards" other than the metal pieces are very tight. We took the end "gear" off and when not attached to the blind mechanism it seems to turn completely. What do you think is the problem?
