i have a honda em 5000 that runs good but doesn't generate power? never worked on one like this before. What would cause it to make no voltage? I got it with no voltage regulator and no diode. Replaced them both but still no voltage? Any ideas? Thanks

Have you tried flashing the field? There are several methods, but the drill method is probably the easiest. Plug in a drill, start the generator, put the drill in reverse and pull the trigger. Then with the trigger pulled, turn the drill by hand. If it doesn't start up on it's own, turn the drill the other direction.
