Hi there,
Hopefully I have the right forum for this question. I'm in the process of framing my basement and I'm working in the laundry room. I've moved my laundry tub ~8" to the right and I'm going to re-plump the water faucet and washer supply values today but I was wondering if there's a required minimum distance between your laundry faucet (or water in general) and the washer power outlet? After I relocate the laundry tub the power outlet is about 9" to the right and 9" above the faucet. Hopefully someone can help! Thanks

There is nothing to my knowledge in the plumbing code but, I would check with French277V in electrical. He will probably tell you to put in a ground fault plug or breaker.

There is no minimum required distance. All receptacles in an unfinished basement, which is defined as having a bare concrete floor, must be GFCI type. The laundry requires a dedicated receptacle circuit that serves only the laundry area.
