Greetings Experts...
We have a rented house with polished wood floors in the living room. Because we have 2 young kids, we laid a loose linoeum-type covering to protect a high-traffic portion of the floor. When we took this up recently, that area of the wood floor had become dull, and parts of it had remnants of adhesive from the linoeum underside. Can you recommend a good way to restore the finish without having to completely re-polish the entire floor? Thanks for any suggestions.

did you try any furniture polish ?
Thanks, C-O,
That may work. And NO, to answer your question, I have
not yet tried furniture polish fearing that doing that one
spot might permanently alter its appearance.
Thanks again,
Paul

Don't use furniture polish!!!!!!
You will be charged for improper care when they do have to refinish the floor. Or if you have to pay for it, a simple screen and recoat turns into a costly... sand to bare wood and refinish.
