Can someone tell me what the PA building code requires for an egress window for a second floor bedroom? I need the maximum heighth of the sill from the floor, the width of the egress window, the heighth of the egress window and the total square footage.

Your local building code office should be able to provide you with code requirements. Codes tend to vary from area to area. Any changes to structure will require a permit.

The height above the floor is a maximum of 42". I do not recall what the width and height of the opening are. Call your local window dealer(not Home Depot), they will know the other dimensions.
