This buggie is old and I think I need to beef up the springs. Can I just put in an extra leaf. Did anyone do this before? Can I get all the bushings and leaf from an automotive spring company? Then I'll put on some new shocks as well, replace the tie rods, suspension should be good then.

Ezgo cart parts will interchange with Melex carts.

Yes you can add a leaf. Make sure the arch in the leaf you add is close to the same as the springs on the cart. Most spring shops will have everything you need...

Thank you. I contacted local spring shops and they can do what I want. All of my search's indicate there are no lift kits for a model this old and I will have to fabricate my own. Before I remount the springs can I add some type of spacer to get a 4" lift, front and back? I want to put on 22" tires on my 8" rims and thought I might need some lift to clear the body?
