I have a Florida home that is on a slab with tile and carpet floors. I want to put wood flooring over the tile in the kitchen area. Does the tile have to be removed down to the slab or can I put wood over the tile?
How do I do the wood to carpet area so it is not so much of a drop?
Any help appreciated. Thsanks

When you say "wood", if you mean a click together laminate floor then yes it can go on top. Assuming the tile floor is in sound condition and you're just covering it up. However, check the warranty and installation instructions for whatever product you choose just to be sure.

Laminate products are typically less than a 1/2" thick and there are transition pieces to go from one flooring surface to another. How large of a "drop" are you concerned with?
