Hi craftsmen! Very simple question, I think...
My living area has stone/solid oak floor. (About 3/4" thick). I still need to do another 1500 sf of some type of floor for the rest of the house. For budget's sake, I am considering a quick laminate wood and I would like to know if anyone has info about these prefinished lams that can be bought at the home centers. Are they a good product? Or would I be better off to continue with the solid wood at the higher cost and pro labor? Thank you for any help and/or advice. I appreciate your help before I get into big trouble!

Real solid wood is always better, but like you said, it costs a whole lot more.

I have Pergo's Harvest Chesnut laminate, and we love it. No clanky sound like some laminates may have. We also have two young children and two dogs, and it's held up great.

It's your wallet...
