I have an old rear projection 50" TV that I just received from my father. The picture and sound is pretty good, but it has some "jumping red lines" that move from center of screen to top. Any idea what this might be and or if it can be fixed?

Without actually seeing what the lines look like and how they are acting ,I'm not going to be able to point you in the right direction.:(
Too many different circuits can cause different type lines in the picture.

Thin red line in the middle. more visible when a red or orange picture is on the screen. When the color is blue or darker colors it seems to quickly pulsate like morse code...hope this helps. It has a great picture and fabulous sound, hate the line though.
