I have a boxlight CP-300T LCD projector. i can't get it to display a image.before i could turn it on the after the 30 second warm up could plug the video cable into the back of the projector and have a image. now its not working. it will turn on display boxlight on the screen and do its 30 second warmup. but after that can't get it to display a image. it detects the rca cable pluged into the video jack but won't pickup the image.I have been having trouble with it lately producing a image. it started taking longer to do so.do i need to take it to a shop. I tried 2 differn't cables nothing.unplugged the RCA cable and plugged it back in several times but no image.

Have you tried to use one of the other input sources? the component or dvi? Let me know.;)

I don't think this is a DIY type project.Make certain to do a little checking around to find a reputable repair shop.

figures. it knows i got the RCA cable hooked up as it does not display the no signal message on the screen but it won't show a image from a video source it just shows a black screen.this is a computer problem with the projector correct.

another question. the projector has 3 RCA type video inputs. the standard yellow one. but it also has PB/CB which is blue and a PR/CR which is red. would a yellow RCA video cable work with these jacks.

Those are "component" inputs. They will work if your DVD player has the corresponding output RCA jacks usually colored green, red and blue. The projector's input must be set to component.
If you use those jacks you'll notice a marked improvement in picture quality over the composite (yellow) input.

OK did some messing around. I hooked up the yellow RCA cable to the Y jack on the back before plugging in the projector. turned the projector on. again waited no image. I removed the rca cable and plugged it into the PB/CB blue no image. did the same with the PR/CR red no image(used the yellow composite cable) and got the no signal timer on the screen. I then plugged the cable back into the yellow RCA jack. timer went away and it produced a image. i still say theres something wrong as i should not have to do all this just to get a image from a video source. is it a computer issue.

The blue and red will generally not be recognized as a video source without the Y connected. I wonder if you have an intermittent connector on the projector's connector plate?
Is there a "reset" button somewhere on the connection plate? Usually it requires a paper clip or pen to depress it. It will reset and reboot the processor. If not, there is probably a reset selection in one of the menus.

Try it anyway. If it's the same as the Eiki's it does a hard reset to the microprocessor. It's different than a power-down reset. Can't hurt unless you do it everytime you use it. (I was told by an Eiki tech that it should only be used "sometimes," whatever that means.)
