I have an old garage door opener that was in place when i bought my house. The Door won't close unless I hold the wall button down. I have replaced the sensors, and I get solid red light on one side and green light on the other, indicating that they are aligned properly...tried to replace the springs, but the door wouldn't close at all with the new springs, so I reverted back to the originals. The only thing I have left is that when I plug the thing in, the console blinks 7 times....any ideas?

Brand? model? If it has sensors and some sort of logic board (which it appears to) it's not that old. But they all have different ways of doing the same thing.

well, sorry, I'm no help. I'm sure one of the door guys will be on after the weekend. It's probably equivalent to another model, but I can't find anything.
