Start by telling us what type of golf cart you have: brand (Club Car, Yamaha, Cub Cadet...); is it gas or electric; what year is it?

First, I would check the battery.

1. Your battery may just need a good charging. Possible if you do not use the cart often or if you only drive is for very short trips.

2. The battery could be good but the connection to the cables may be so corroded that the current cannot get through. Clean the battery posts and cable connections.

3. The battery may be old and need to be replaced. It happens. Batteries die when they get old. If yours is six years old it is about time for a new one.

Before this recent bit of "not working" was the cart acting funny or making any odd sounds?
