found a picture of these using a google search, but i haven't been able to find them in any stores or for sale online??? i think these in particular are electric, but i plan to use candle models.....
so would anyone know where to buy these? or at least recognize the style (ie turkish, moroccan etc) to point me in the right direction? thanks

If you Google contemporary cone wall sconces, you will find many links. Finding a link that has the particular fixture you want will likely take some time. If you already found a link, then you are in luck and you need to contact the manufacturer to find out who the artist is. The sconces in the photo look custom or, at least, specialty by a lighting artisan.
Yes, the sconces in the photo are electric. Converting to candle lighting source would be up to you to achieve. If you can contact the designer/artist, then perhaps you can get custom, candle-lighted sconces.
One option is to contact a company that deals in contemporary wall sconce lighting fixtures--http://www.formplusfunction.com/contact-us.php Send a photo. They might be able to help you locate what you want.
Your photo is not clear if the fixtures are tortoise shell or not. Here is a photo at http://www.grandlight.com/products_sconces_contemporary_10236.asp?pg=6

The mounting is not the same, but the contemporary look is similar. The fixture is electrical.
Again, if looking for a contemporary, candle-lighted sconce in a particular design, then it's likely best to take a photo to a lighting designer and show them what you want and tell them that you want candle lighting.

Hi there,
Looks like a picture of the Cheescake factory wall sconces. I'd suggest to call their main offices and simply ask :D
