I've recently installed a vista 20p alarm system with a couple of
6270 keypads and a single 6150. Programming was successful
using the 6270s and the system works fine with them. However,
I can't figure out how to simply arm and disarm the system using
the 6150. Any clues? The 6150 is on address 16. Thanks much.

As per your user manual, simply enter your code + [arming command]

1=off/disarm/clear faults
2=Away
3=Stay
4=Maximum
7=Instant

On many versions of the keypad, these commands are labeled on the keypad.

Ah, the users manual. Found it at the bottom of the pile of
manuals. Foolish me, thinking I would find it in the installation
manuals.

Thanks much! It works great.

just a little note: the 6270 key pads pull a lot of power so if have any pir's or smoke det's powered from the panel you need a Auxiliary Power Supply
