I have a multilevel deck with multiple stairways down to the lower level. My question is, does anyone have a door plan for transistion between the deck and stairway? I am worried about the door sagging and want to make sure it is built to be durable. Any help would be nice. Thanks!

I'm assuming you mean a gate of some sort. I.M.O. a gate is only as good as what it is attached to. Most gates on decks are built to fit. Make sure the gate is going to be attached to a solid, stable post with hinges that are heavy enough to take the weight of the gate and that's half the battle. A self closing mechanism of some sort might not be a bad idea if you have small children.

Gates sagging is definitely an issue, UNLESS they are steel framed, like a wrought iron gate. And, like Kremeriky said, the gates are only as good as the post that they are mounted to.
