First off, I did read through the FAQ and didn't see what I needed. I have searched for around an hour and still didn't see a relevant article.
My scenario:
I have recently switched over to cable modem and VOIP to save costs over DSL. My DSC system (PC1550) was connected via phone line to my monitoring service. I told the monitoring service to cancel the monitoring last week (which they did). I am not interested in the monitoring any longer; just the entry intrusion alarm.
Yesterday the phone company finally cut my land line and I am now 100% cable modem and VOIP.
Last night around Midnight the alarm went off around Midnight and I almost wet myself trying to get out of bed fast enough .
False alarm. Then it went off again around 2:00 AM. False alarm.
Then the system starts beeping twice each tenh seconds to tell me that my phone line is having problems (code 3).
How can I tell my system to disregard the lack of phone line?
Thanks in advance,
Todd Lawrence

Go into programming location 12 and turn ON option 1 to disable the dialer. You may have to power down and restart the system to clear the trouble.

Well at first your post made no sense to me whatsoever. Albeit technically accurate, it made no sense.
I had to do a LOT more searching to figure out what you meant. I kinda' figured out that you meant for me to find (and download) the installer's manual. I did that and started reading through the installer's guide. Not a very intuitive document.
But your post finally started to make sense and I was able to toggle off the line detection.
Thanks much and keep on helping us 'noobs'. We all appreciate it.

Sorry about that, your post had the sound of someone who had already at least tinkered in the system programming, and just needed a specific programming location pointer...
