Hi all, we installed some new lighting in our kitchen and had a few holes to patch. We used the standard patch repair kit, sanded and primed the area. Then we sprayed with one of the texture sprays available in the stores. The texture acutally looks good. But there are shadows, I'm not sure that's the right word. But there are area's that are different colors. First we thought we had some bad touch up paint so we repainted the whole ceiling. But those spots/shadows remain in the ceiling. Short of having the whole ceiling re textured what could be the problem and how can we fix it. Thanks, Gina

Do you mean like a stain and it keeps bleeding through the texture ? Maybe a dingy yellow colour in spots ? If so then there might of been previous water damage to the ceiling.
If so then it needs to be resealed so it wont bleed through again. Then repainted.
