I'm new to the do it yourself aspect of home ownership. :P So I hope I can find some help on here. We have a problem with poor drainage around our foundation. I installed downspouts that carry the water away from the house; however, there is a large amount of water that still falls off the sides of our driveway next to our foundation. (There is a small dip there, so water finds it's way onto it and just follows it until it drops off the side). We're having an interior drainage system installed, but that doesn't solve the problem of the water running off the sides of our driveway.

Unfortunately, we don't have money right now to replace the driveway, so I'm looking for a solution that I can implement myself. I was thinking if there was someway of installing something or building something onto the driveway (along that side) that acts like a wall to prevent the water from falling off? Is this possible?

If so, how do I go about doing it? Do I need to level out that dip area? If so, with what? What materials would I need? I apologize for so many questions. We're having a heavy rain right now, so I'm running back and forth between the basement and the computer.

try installing a brick edge or some of the steel edging for flower beds along the edge of the driveway.

if we're not supposed to eat animals why are they made out of meat?
