we just bought a house there is no exhuast fan in the bathroom but we want one can we just put one in through the exsiting light fixture? also can we just install one without putting a hole in the attic or side of the house for venting? if we can will it cause damage to the attic? OUr attic is just a crawl space pretty much.

Mjkkk08.,
Per IBC { International Building Code } all the exhaust fan in bathroom must be piped outside you can not let it run free in the attic space due the condsation and smell.
Now if you want the fan to work the same time the luminaire is on it pretty easy just hook up from the luminaire to the exhaust fan black to black and white to white and green or bare to green or bare connection.
Merci,Marc
