I'm working on a 27" Emerson Television set. It actually stopped working while I was watching it.I was watching it and it was operating properly when suddenly the picture went out leaving only a horizontal white line across the center of the screen for about 1 minute. Now, it only "clicks" when I push the power button like the relay is working, but I still get no picture or sound. Any ideas where I could begin my troubleshooting search? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Most likely cause is the vertical output ic shorted.When it did it opened up a fusible resister in the power supply. Thats why the set only clicks now.The fusible resister is going to be off of one of the legs of the high voltage transformer.Usually just before or after a diode.Find the open resister and replace it and the vertical ic.;)
