I just realized that standard size aluminum flex transition duct is bits of smaller than dryer vent duct that builder installed (but transition duct fits dryer outlet well). Do I have to find out the converter or something, or is there any tricky way to slide in? Thanks for your help!

They are almost the same size I have to fight then all the time . Sears has a flexible hard duct that has a transition that somewhat fits better. You maybe able to get same thing in builder store. Need at least 6" behind dryer to use or get a 90 elbow also

Will try Sears store. Thanks.
