I have a townhouse which I'd like to put a storm door onto the front door.

All my neighbors have added wooden extensions to the exterior door frame, (a few inches), and attached the storm door to that.

I'll get the right lengths and widths, but how do I attach the wood to the external existing frame. A long nail though the front? Nails at an angle? superglue? (j/k)
