I'm about to start putting up vinyl siding but I know next summer I'll be building a deck. Should I do anything differently with the siding now or when I build the deck next year, do I just butt it up against the siding?
Thanks
Thanks

I would hang the ledger board now + flashing, and let it sit there all winter.
Not sure about where you live but in the midwest it seems a lot of subdivision homes (esp in the country) come with a ledger board installed for when you fee like getting to the DIY deck.
