Mystery – how to remove an old GE JVC62002 built-in over the range microwave. Our 1981 microwave finally gave up the ghost. We bought a new JVM1750SMSS GE built-in to replace it but despite really trying we have not been able to remove the old one. I took out the 4 long screws that secured it at the top and expected to be able to rotate the beast forward like you can with the new one but it seems positively glued in place. I tried coaxing it by prying it gently at first then harder at the top with a paint scraper but it didn’t budge. I looked all over it with a flashlight but found no obvious answers to solve the mystery. Then I spent a lot of time surfing the net trying to find installation instructions for the old JVC62002 but had no luck except for finding a users manual for it which did not include installation instructions. Can anyone out there please help solve this mystery? My wife is getting impatient. Thank you very much.

Please cancel the need for help removing the old microwave. It turned out that the microwave was mounted on rails so it just had to be pulled out directly rather than being hinged at the bottom and needing to be rotated downward for removal. Took me a long time to figure that one out. Thanks for your attention and help anyway. :)
