I have a GE Profile Artica refrigerator side by side w/ Ice and water through the door. It is 3 or 4 years old. Until recently it worked well and we frequently used the water and ice thru the door feature (usually crushed). Suddenly the ice feature quit working. Water works as always. The ice maker continues to make ice. The auger is free and not jammed. there is no ice stuck in the chute. When crushed or cubed ice is selected thru the door the green function light and the white nite lite both dim appreciably while the paddle is pushed and for a few seconds thereafter. nothing else happens. there is no noise or motion that I can detect. Removing the ice bin I can turn the forked motor shaft by hand. it turns stiffly but smoothly with the sound of a high ratio gear drive. The dimming makes me think that something is jammed but??? Any Ideas? Where I can get a parts diagram and schematic? How about troubleshooting advice? Anything would be appreciated.
