I have a concrete garage floor (approx. 440 sq. feet, poured just this past February) that I want to seal before winter. The goal is to keep the road chemicals and salts that are used during bad weather from deteriorating my garage floor.

I'm confused as to what product would be best in my situation. I've read about water-based and oil-based sealers and concrete stains and concrete paints, and feel a little overwhelmed.

From what I've seen, the Home Depot (Drylok) oil-based product doesn't last very long. Should I go with a siloxane-based sealer (seems to be a highly-rated product), such as Applied Technologies A-Tech Concrete Sealer?

Also, about how many gallons would be needed to seal ~440 sq. feet?

Thanks in advance for the advice!
