On these recent hot/humid days, the toilet is sweating a great deal. Is this normal? Is there anything that can be done about preventing the sweating? I'd hate for it to damage the floor even though there is vinyl laminate on the floor.

There are tank liners that you can get at a homecenter, they will creat a barrier between the tank and the water. This allowing the water in the tank to reach room temp, before condensation builds up on outside of tank.
