My contractor put in the tumbled marble (with some slate accents), and then grouted it with sanded grout, filling in all the little 'wormholes.' It looks absolutely beautiful, and I'm very happy with it.
Except .... I was looking on this forum to see whether I should use a tile sealer or a grout sealer, and I see that the recommendation is to seal the tile prior to grouting. And it's obviously too late for that.
What is the best way to keep this looking as good as it does now?
Thanks very much -

We seal before grouting because it makes it easier to grout. You can apply a sealer to the grouted tile but read the directions on the bottle as to how long to wait, maybe a few days or a week so the grout can properly cure.

Even they did seal the tile before grouting, it would be next to impossible to get the all grout out of the tile. It is common to have grout in tile that you have...

ccs648,
what type of look are you after ?
when using a stone sealer you will be sealing both the grout and the stone tile.
I recommend using one of these sealer on your stone backsplash:
Dupont StoneTech Pro
Auquamix
Miracle 511

So if I use a stone sealer now it will still be effective? That's all I'm worried about.
