I need to close up a window due to remodeling. My house is slump block. I want it to look like the window was never there. There are some half blocks there that would need to be removed to make it look continuous, interlocking.

My question is how do you get the mortar between the blocks inside those half cavities? Any type of special tool needed and what should the mortar be like? I do have some experience, but I can't figure it out.

Also, I have had a couple of pros (if that) out to give me a quote, but they keep trying to talk me out of the continuous look, and just do a straight brick in. I've pretty much given up on the guys I've talked to. I know it can be done as I have seen it done at other houses in the neighborhood.

If anyone can give some input, it would be appreciated.

Thanks
