I have a Mercruiser 260 I/O and I need to disconnect the shifter cable to replace the rubber bellows between the stern and the outdrive. Can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks

Hi snoski,
Your other thread on this subject is still around here:

If you don't see it, scroll all the way to the bottom of the Index Page for this forum (http://forum.doityourself.com/forumdisplay.php?f=55) to Display Options and change the "From" drop down to "Last Month".

With all of the work you want to do on your boat, you'd probably be served well by buying a Selco Mercruiser Maintenance and Repair Manual. I paid $37 for mine including S&H. It was the best $37 out of the hundreds I've spent so far on that hole in the water. ;)

It will certainly serve you better than my aging memory!
