There are now many green ways in which to clean your household and keep it safe for kids and pets. For instance, there are plenty of carpet cleaners who use a more green, organic way of dry cleaning carpets. Instead of waiting for the carpets to dry before entering your house or office again, it is already dry and ready for use!!!

Orange oil has always been known to repel fleas, because as a child, I used to squeeze orange rinds over my dog to keep him flea and tick free, and it also kept him smelling citrusy fresh!!! I noticed that termite and pest control companies have also utilized this age old technique nowadays, and since orange oil is non-toxic, your kids and pets are safe even while the termite man is at work in your home!!!

Other fabulous ways to keep your house free from potentially harmful chemicals is by using baking soda to keep tiles and kitchens sparkly clean. Vinegar also is also known as a great dissolvant and can unclog drains.

Anyone else have good tips of green household cleaning techniques?
