I have old galvalnized pipe in wall for bathroom and the hot water faucet is leaking how do i patch whole in pipe before replacing seat and cartridge for hot water faucet.

You will need to replace the pipe that has the hole in it, shut the water off and fix that right away, this will call for dissassembling the pipes to the valve, this will not be easy, then fix the leaky faucet.
